Vincent Guyaux, President & CEO
Vincent Guyaux has extensive management and business development expertise in North America, Asia and Europe in high-tech industries. Since 2008, he is President & CEO of Metafoam, a metal foam manufacturer. Prior to that, Vincent was President & CEO of Imaginum, a fabless chip manufacturer, Co-founder and President of Embrase Business Consulting, General Manager of Mindready's Embedded Systems Division, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Locus Dialog (acquired by InfoSpace) and Sales Manager at Apple Canada. Since 2006, he also guest-lectures on creating business plans for the MBA program at McGill University. Vincent holds a diploma in Applied Computer Science from the University of Quebec in Montreal.
Dominic Pilon, Founder & Chief Technology Officer
As Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Dominic Pilon is responsible for Metafoam’s product development efforts and focusing the company’s technology and product roadmap towards market centric applications. Dominic has extensive knowledge of consumer electronics’ thermal management needs and market requirements. His business and product development efforts have lead to the creation of several strategic partnerships with major ODMs, OEMs, and thermal management companies in the Asian consumer electronics’ industry. Before founding Metafoam in 2004, Dominic completed graduate studies in mechanical engineering in both North America and Europe. He is the author of 5 patent applications and over 20 scientific papers and conference proceedings which have solidified Metafoam’s position as a provider of innovative technologies for the thermal management industry.
Susannah Tam, Chief Financial Officer
Susannah Tam has extensive experience in corporate finance, strategic planning and re-structuring. Before joining Metafoam, Susannah spent 3 years as Vice President of Finance at SR Telecom, a Canadian public company specializing in WiMAX. Prior to SR Telecom, Susanah spent several years in private equity as an investment director where she managed direct investments, re-structured companies, raised funds and mapped out investment strategies. Susannah’s international exposure covers the Americas, particularly Mexico, and Asia, particularly greater China. Susannah received her MBA from Concordia University (Montreal) and her BA in Mathermatics from Mills College (California). Her Board of Directors memberships included: AirNet Communications Corp (US), Comunicacion y Telefonia Rural (Chile) and the Montreal Chinese Hospital Foundation (Montreal) where she is currently President.
Laurent Leclercq, Vice President of Operations
Laurent Leclercq joined Metafoam as Vice President of Operations in 2009. Prior to Metafoam, from 1997 to 2008, Laurent had multiple senior management roles at Nortel where he gained experience in operations including new product introduction, capacity and production planning, inventory management, outsourcing and off shoring. From 2005 to early 2009, Laurent led Nortel’s strategic product sourcing activities in South America, Asia and East Europe. From 1990 to 1997, Laurent worked as a consulting engineer for Tecsult and as R&D manager for Kvaerner. Laurent is a Mechanical Engineer graduated from Sherbrooke University with an MBA Finance from HEC Montreal.
Patrick Daoust, Director of Administration
After completing his Bachelor's Degree in management accounting at Université du Québec à Montréal, Patrick Daoust cumulated more than ten years of experience as accountant and controller for OTI Canada Group, Fempro, and Americ Disc. Mr. Daoust joined Metafoam's team as Director of Administration where he leads accounting, human resources, and actively takes part in the funding of the company.
